Developmental Services
Assisting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to lead more productive and autonomous lifestyles, whole promoting healthy choices through premier services, advocacy, and education.
Adult Clinical Services
Our Adult Clinical Services programs are committed to helping individuals who are living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Our skilled staff assists individuals with housing, applying for benefits, linkage to community supports, independent living skills, and various other services.
Adult Comprehensive Outpatient Services
ACOS offers a wide array of Outpatient Mental Health Services. Our dedicated and professional staff of include Licensed Therapists, Psychologist, Nurse Practitioner, Adult Board Certified Psychiatrists, Gerontologist, Peer Support Specialists as well as an array of Nursing supports. ACOS staff is committed to working with people throughout their lifespan in times of severe challenges as well as through the stressors of daily living. Additionally, staff remains sensitive to all sexual orientations, gender identities and cultural values.
Crisis Services
The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board’s Crisis Services team is staffed with dedicated Psychiatrists, Nurses, Case Managers, and Peer Support Counselors who possess the specialized skills to provide Support Services, Discharge Planning, Recovery Tools, and a wealth of other services to individuals in the region.
Substance Abuse Services
Our Substance Abuse Services programs offers specialized services and skills such as residential, day treatment and outpatient services to residents of Hampton and Newport News as well as throughout the South Eastern Virginia region. Our staff is committed to helping individuals establish and meet their goals and to live a healthy, productive life.
