PIERRE GOLPIRA, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Golpira earned his medical degree from the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk and completed his residency training at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Dr. Golpira has practiced psychiatry in Hampton Roads since 2004, when he began working for Atlantic Psychiatric Services, in Virginia Beach. In 2008, Dr. Golpira came to the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board and worked full-time until 2014. During that time, he worked in the Community Resource Center, eventually serving as its medical director. In addition to seeing outpatients at the Community Resource Center, he worked as a consulting psychiatrist for the CSB at the Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital and the Sentara Careplex Hospital. Dr. Golpira also worked at the Sentara Obici Hospital and the Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit for the CSB between 2008 and 2014.
In 2014, Dr. Golpira left the Hampton-Newport News CSB to open a private practice office in Virginia Beach. He worked part-time for the Chesapeake Community Services Board (Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Health) until 2015, when he returned to the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as a part-time psychiatrist. He works in the Comprehensive Outpatient Services Clinic, evaluating and treating adults. He continues to maintain a private practice.
