Frequently Asked Questions: Application/Employment

 

Do I have to register before completing an application?

Yes, you will have to complete a profile in order to access your application

 

Will I hear from someone about my application?

Your application will be thoroughly reviewed and if you are selected for an interview a member of the H-NNCSB Recruitment Staff will contact you.

 

How do I find out about the status of my application?

You can call us, or you will receive an email update regarding the status of your application.  You will either receive a phone call and an email if additional information is needed.

 

Can I edit my application once submitted?

Yes, but only if you have not received an email status update indicating that your application is AP Qualified.  Otherwise you will have to contact one of our HR Recruitment team members to update your application status so that you will be able to edit it.

 

Do I have to complete more than one application for each position posted?

Yes, one application per position is required.

 

Can I submit a paper application instead of completing the online application?

No, we only accept online applications.  IF you need assistance completing, please contact the HR office at 757-788-0301

 

Do you hire part time employees?

Yes, we do hire part time employees.  Availability of these positions will be posted

 

How long does the application process take?

This process should take about 15 -20 minutes.  In order to be considered you will need to complete all the sections of the online application, and provide your work history, educational background, and references.  If you are not prepared with the information, please return at a more convenient time for you.

 

How can I complete an application if I do not have a personal computer?

A computer is available in the HR Office for completing an application.

 

How do I attach my Driving record to my application?

You will have to scan your driving record to attach it.  Should you not have a scanner, we have one available in our HR Office if needed.
