Internship Opportunities

 

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board provides intern/practicum experiences to highly qualified students to aid in producing competent professionals in the behavioral healthcare field.

Internship/Practical experiences will be offered annually, as agency resources permit.

 

H-NNCSB accepts applications during April and May for Fall semesters and in October and November for Spring Semesters.

 

While most internships are at the Masters level, there are some bachelor level internships available.

As an “Intern” or “Practicum student”, an individual must meet the following criteria:

 

  • enrolled in/referred by an affiliated institution
  • completed the H-NNCSB Internship Application process
  • selected by an H-NNCSB clinical training site
  • completed all H-NNCSB orientation and training requirements within designated timeframes
  • employee of H-NNCSB enrolled in a degree/certification program at an affiliated institution

 

We currently have partnered with the following universities to provide internship opportunities:

 

  • The College of William & Mary
  • Christopher Newport University
  • Hampton University
  • Old Dominion University
  • Norfolk State University
  • Regent University
