Baltej S. Gill, M.D., D.F.A.P.A
Dr. Gill earned his medical degree from V.J. Hospital Medical College in Amristar, India. In 1980 Dr. Gill moved to the United States where he completed his psychiatry residency training at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia. He is Board Certified in General Psychiatry. Prior to joining us at the CSB, Dr. Gill was a staff Psychiatrist and Unit Medical Director at Eastern State Hospital.
Dr. Gill began his employment with the CSB in June of 1989 as the CSB’s first Medical Director. As our Senior Medical Director, he has provided exemplary leadership and medical direction for our medical staff. In addition, he provides psychiatric evaluations, consultations and psychopharmacological management for consumers who are mentally disabled, as well as consumers with developmental disabilities. Dr. Gill is an elected Distinguished Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association.
In 1993, Dr. Gill was awarded the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. In 1998, Dr. Gill was the recipient of the Amos D. Rollins Distinguished Service Award by the Peninsula Mental Health Association.
