Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board

Proudly Serving the Communities of Hampton and Newport News since 1971

Every September, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board celebrates RECOVERY MONTH to increase awareness and

understanding of mental and substance use disorders and celebrate people in recovery.

This year’s theme is “Join the Voices for Recovery: Strengthen Families and Communities.”

Please come out and show your support of events hosted on the Main Campus. Your efforts are greatly appreciated as you participate in these

commemorative events while continuing to provide quality care to individuals throughout the CSB.

Attached is a flyer highlighting the events we have planned to celebrate Recovery Month.

Our first event will be held on September 13, 2017 when we encourage the entire agency to wear the color PURPLE in honor of “Wear Recovery

Month Color Day” and to participate in the Recovery Day/Recovery Walk.
