Bright Beginnings
Bright Beginnings is a psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) day program that follows components of a clubhouse model offering each individual a sense of importance, ownership and empowerment through his or her contributions in keeping their clubhouse alive and operating. The program provides an environment of encouragement and support where individuals can build self-esteem and self-confidence in a normalized setting. We will maximize opportunities for individual empowerment, independent decision making, and individual input into treatment goals and program involvement. Our services will increase opportunities and skill levels for successful community reintegration in the least restrictive setting and focus on an individual’s strengths and abilities, maximizing skills and improving overall functioning level.

Service Members, Veterans and Families Program
We face an urgent need to build capacity within the community-based behavioral health care system through clinical enhancements for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other forms of trauma (including from military and/or combat service including Military Sexual Trauma), Addiction and Substance Use Disorders, Domestic Conflict, and the varied forms of Depressions and Anxieties.
As one of the nine required services for STEP-VA, the purpose of the Service Members Veterans and Families (SMVF) is to help ensure that veterans, active-duty members and military family members obtain behavioral health treatment services and supports.
CSBs will also collaborate with Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facilities, Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) programs and other external providers to determine SMVF eligibility for services.
SMVF services include:
Individual and group-based therapy and related services by a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.
Persons/entities interested in these services are encouraged to contact H-NNCSB Adult Comprehensive Outpatient (ACOS) and/or visit the Rapid Access Walk-in program.
